The appraisal of gifts to a library for tax purposes is the responsibility of the donor since it is the donor who benefits from the tax deduction.

Donated matterials are accepted with the understanding that any donated item will be evaluated according to the Collection Development Policy and when no restrictions are attached for integrations into the collection.
- The cost of processing, the availability of space, the suitability of format, and the physical condition of the items are factors in the selction process.
The library accepts donated materials only with the understanding that they are use or disposed of as the library determines appropriate.
- The librarian reserves the right to accept or reject gifts as deemed appropriate.
- Items in poor physical condition, expcecially those containing active mold and mildew will not be considered for acquisition.
